This backyard was mostly dirt and dead grass. With a few simple questions we discovered the owner would eventually get a dog, as well as used an above ground pool in the summer. We determined the best option was permeable Playground Artificial Turf with a pet infill.
Since our installers have been with us so long, their installations are as much an art as a skill. We arguably design and install the most beautiful putting greens.
Playground turf should not be installed directly on asphalt or concrete because bacteria can grow between the turf and asphalt. Either sawcut and install proper base and padding if needed, or install an airdrain on top of the concrete and install the artificial turf and padding on the airdrain, allowing for draining and airflow.
This project was for the City of Paramount at the Elks Lodge. The difficulty was the parkway grass/dirt was a mound and filled with roots. In these situations you do the best you can without killing the root system of the trees.
